THE GARDEN GATE - a collection of recent water colours done in and around Chilson village. Many of these paintings began life as online demos for my long suffering art group who had to do it all online this year.
I specialise in painting en-plein-aire if possible and most of these were done very close to where we live in West Oxfordshire.
If you would like to buy anything prior to the exhibition, please get on touch via email as these have not been priced up until the framing is done.

A life time ago when lockdown started I decided to make little demo films for my art group to use as some sort of stop gap, for who knows how long…..? After a while it became a regular weekly routine for Robert, Teabag and I to set out armed with nothing but a sketch book and an iphone. I mainly paint in water colour and try to be as spontaneous as possible which is why many of these were done in situ, much to the surprise of passing walkers. This turned out to be the story of a village told through the elements, which I hope to make into a book later this year.
